Not letting go
Just so you know
I won't stay away
From you today.

A friend in need
My friend indeed
A lost soul to save
A strong wind to brave

You must not die
And I will not lie
Though demons abound
Without leaving a sound

Don't stop believing
There's strength in receiving
A kind gentle word
Which cuts like a sword

Tears fall like a rain
From a heart that is slain
But there will be healing
And soon you'll stop grieving

The darkenss will fade
As it's cut by the blade
Of a sunlit new morn
The day truth is reborn

So open the gate
And wipe up the slate
Your eyes will be dry
If you will just try

But until that great moment
When your chain is broken
Hold on to the hope
Like the last thread of rope

Then you'll be free
To live happily
And your heart will be full
Of kindless to all

Just trust in my spirit

Ashes remain
Of a love once true
Now burned up
In the fire's hue

Ashes alone
Rise up to Heaven
Into God’s throne
From where they are driven

Ashes smolder
As the fire gives out
Casting some heat
As they amount

Ashes consumed
On time's highway
Filling up
Eternity’s ways

Ashes abound
Where love was blessed
Consumed in anger
And foolishness

Ashes dispersed
By the Lord's command
Carried aloft
In the whirlwind's hand

Ashes forever
Of a love now gone
Destroyed by God
Because it was wrong

Ashes remain
Of what I felt
For a cold-hearted person
My love couldn't melt

Take from her
This horrible sting

She lies in the darkness
Fearing for her life
Wondering when
There's an end to her strife

Save her spirit
Lord, from this horrible dread
Reach down into
Her sea of red.

Innocent and true
She longs to be free
From the anguish within
Her soul indeed

Save her heart
From fear and terror
Make her merry
Bring her family together

Help them know
They can't stand by
As monsters lurk
By her bedside

Save my friend
Lost now found
Bring her safely
To where love abounds

Her bruise is fresh
And the pain it stings
Heal her now
Let her spirit sing

Save my lamb
From this great wrong
She is broken
Don't wait too long

A heart so good
Must not be enslaved
Help her to stand
Please make her brave
