Hide my face
Cast out the light
Let me not see disgrace

My love is now gone
And my heart is torn

Hide thou my shame
For I have failed heaven
And reduced my great flame

There is nothing to fear
I have lost my true love
And all that is dear

Let the night fall
Snuff out my life
My hopes, my dreams, my all

To thee I give in
Drown thou my grief
In the cloak within

Come o Darnkess
I give all to thee
I was nothing before
I am nothing now see

Let death be near
My life is a burden

End thou my agony
End it at last

I despise my own flesh
