Twas Night, Before Christmas, and the world lay in sin
A sad little planet, without hope there-in
Covered in darkness, and filled with great fright
There then appeared, a great blinding Light
It hung in the sky, like a comet in space
And all who beheld it, hid from its face
Don’t worry ye men, called an angel above
I’ve come to bring tidings, of God’s wonderful love
For unto ye all, is born this dark eve
A wonder from Heaven, for those who’ll believe
A babe wrapped in linens, in a stable now lay
Who’ll grow up and die, for the sins you can’t pay
And though he’ll be crucified, and suffer great pain
On the Third Day he’ll rise, to God’s great acclaim
Come to him now, as he sleeps in the manger
Surrounded by cattle, with no fear of danger
Bring him your alms, and gifts that you cherish
And he’ll give you life, great joy that won’t perish
And remember this night, all ye below
That God up above, gave the best gift of all
How Jesus the Christ, the King of all Kings
Became as a man, to cleanse man of sins
Now come unto Bethlehem, ye men of his seed
And partake of the gift, God sent down to thee
For though Christmas time, may come once each year
Christ’s love and great mercy, will always be near.
